Amine Kabbaj

Mohamed Amine Kabbaj was born in Casablanca, Morocco, and completed his studies in architecture at UP8 in Paris. In 1992, Kabbaj started his own architecture firm together with two partners. He served as the president of ONG Tamesloht, a group that supports economic and social development in a local village, twenty kilometers from Marrakech.

Kabbaj is a contemporary art collector and has curated shows such as Animal Dream at the Marrakech Art Fair in October 2010 and Biennale Off as a Parallel Project for the 4th Edition of the Marrakech Biennale in March 2012. After serving on the Board of the Arts in Marrakech Association (AiM), and acting as Vice President Executive of the Marrakech Biennale 5th edition,  Kabbaj now oversees the direction and artistic direction of the Marrakech Biennale 6th Edition.

A man with several hobbies, Amine Kabbaj is also an avid marathon runner for the annual Marathon des Sables.
